Customized Journeys
Privately guided, multi-day journeys across Atlantic Canada—designed around your group, your timing, and how you want to travel.
From rugged coastlines and active days to standout local food and well-paced evenings, every detail is shaped to feel seamless, fully inclusive, and entirely your own.
It's Time to Start Your Adventures
A Custom Journey gives you the Great Earth experience—designed around your group.
Your interests. Your pace. Your priorities. We handle the details, so you can simply enjoy the journey.
What This Really Means
A Custom Journey is not about starting with a blank page. It is about taking what works—strong routes, proven experience design, the right pacing, and the best parts of the region—and shaping it around your group.
That might mean focusing more heavily on hiking, building in more food and wine experiences, adjusting the overall pace, combining multiple regions, or creating a route that does not follow one of our Signature structures at all.
The goal is not customization for its own sake. The goal is a stronger trip—one that fits your timing, your group dynamics, and your priorities without losing the design discipline that makes the journey work.
Who Custom Journeys Are For
Custom Journeys are especially well suited to travellers who want the Great Earth style of travel, but need more flexibility than a fixed route allows.
That may include:
- private groups travelling together
- couples travelling with friends
- Families, friend groups, or special-interest groups
- Travellers combining multiple regions into one seamless journey
- Guests drawn to specific activities or a particular style of travel
- Those who want a more tailored, more private experience from the very beginning
They are also a strong fit for travellers who know they want to experience Atlantic Canada well, but do not want the burden of piecing it all together themselves.
What We Customize
A stronger custom trip does not come from trying to customize everything. It comes from adjusting the right things.
That includes:
- trip length
- regional focus
- activity level
- overall pace
- food and wine emphasis
- accommodation style
- balance between structure and flexibility
- the general rhythm of the journey
Each of those decisions affects how the trip feels. We use them to shape something more personal and more appropriate for your group—without compromising the quality of the overall experience.
What the Experience Feels Like
The real value of a custom trip is not simply that it is “made for you.” It is that everything works together.
You are in the right place at the right time. The transitions make sense. The days do not feel overstuffed. The meals do not feel like an afterthought. The route does not feel like a compromise between too many competing priorities.
You are not adjusting plans, coordinating bookings, or deciding in the moment what should happen next.
You are simply in the trip.
That is what a well-designed custom journey should feel like.
Fully Inclusive, by Design
From the moment your journey begins, everything is arranged and managed as part of the trip.
You do not need to coordinate accommodations, manage transportation, make meal decisions on the fly, or think about what needs to happen next. The journey is fully inclusive and designed to feel that way.
That means:
✔ accommodations are arranged
✔ transportation is handled
✔ meals are included
✔ activities and tours are included
✔ guided support is included throughout
You are there to experience the journey, not to manage it.
The only exceptions are alcoholic beverages and gratuities.
How the Planning Process Works
We keep the process straightforward and personal.
Start the
conversation
You tell us about your group, your timing, and the kind of experience you are looking for. You do not need a finished plan. A rough direction is enough.
Shape the
overall direction
From there, we identify the best regional focus, pace, structure, and experience mix for your trip.
Refine the
details
Once the overall direction is right, we refine the pieces that matter—activity balance, pacing, food emphasis, route flow, and trip character.
Finalize
and prepare
We handle the reservations, logistics, and trip coordination so the experience is ready to run cleanly and smoothly.
Experience
the journey
Once the trip begins, everything is in place and managed throughout. You are there to experience it, not administer it.
Why Work With Us on a Custom Trip
Designing a strong trip in Atlantic Canada is not just about knowing where to go.
It is about knowing what is actually worth the time, how to connect the experiences properly, how to pace the days, when to move, when to slow down, and what gives the trip a satisfying finish at the end of each day.
That is where we focus.
You could build your own route. But getting the quality of experience right across multiple days—without overbuilding, underbuilding, or missing the best combinations—is where many trips fall short.
Our role is to close that gap.
Where We Operate
We design journeys across Atlantic Canada, including:
– Nova Scotia
– New Brunswick
– Prince Edward Island
– Newfoundland
Each region offers something distinct. In many cases, the strongest custom journeys combine them in a way that creates contrast and momentum across the trip.
Common Starting Points
If you are not sure where to begin, most custom trips start with something simple:
“We are travelling in September with six people.”
“We want a mix of hiking and good food.”
“We are deciding between Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.”
“We want something active, but not punishing.”
That is enough to begin shaping a strong direction.
